Common questions
What buyers ask before signing.
- Why no public dollar amounts above Starter?
- Because every Professional and Enterprise customer has different seat counts, query volumes, and procurement requirements. Posting a fake number we'll just discount from is dishonest. Sales will quote within 24 hours.
- Can I pay by credit card?
- No. Cairn is annual contracts, billed by invoice. Net-30 standard, Net-60 for Fortune 1000. We don't do month-to-month or self-serve checkout.
- How are queries counted?
- A "query" is one Q&A round-trip: the question you ask plus Cairn's cited answer. Follow-up questions in the same chat each count as one. Failed or empty queries don't count.
- What if we go over the query limit?
- Soft limits. We email your account owner at 80% and 100%, and your CSM proactively reaches out about a tier change before any service degradation. We don't rate-limit you mid-incident.
- Can we trial Cairn before committing?
- Yes. After the demo, qualified accounts get a 14-day pilot with their real NAICS context and a sales engineer on call. No credit card.
- What about data privacy?
- Customer queries and chat history are stored in your tenant only. Nothing is shared with other customers, and nothing is used to train models. Full posture on the security page.
